Using Astrology Matching to Find the Perfect Match
Astrology matching is a little different than your daily or weekly horoscope that you find in newspapers and magazines. I personally am not too keen on the fortune telling aspect of astrology as I strongly believe we have the power to shape our own destiny in life. However, when it comes to finding the perfect match in relationships I see value in looking to the star signs for guidance as I believe our personalities are to a certain extent influenced by the alignment of the stars at the time of our birth.
People regarded astrology as an art and a science in ancient times. Kings and warriors consulted the greatly respected practitioners before going into battles or engaging in matrimony. Later the astronomers and astrologers went their separate ways. Today astrology is considered a pseudo-science and some folks even believe it's utter nonsense.
I have an open mind about it as I do about most things in life. I have read about the zodiac twelve star signs and each has its merits and faults. Looking at my own friends and relatives I'm quite surprised to notice how certain things ring true according to the horoscope. But then again, the concept of "self fulfilling prophecy" cannot be ruled out.
Astrology matching is a rather complex issue since we use it to help determine how well people of different signs will get along. This does not only apply to our romantic relationships but also to our relationships with family members, friends, and business partners. Again, I'm not saying that astrology is something we should rule our lives by, but in certain situations it's worth looking at.
I once bought an old astrology book at a used book store. The content mostly deals with finding a soul mate. My present boyfriend and I are considered a perfect match according to our star signs. However, I also know a couple whose marriage failed although their zodiac signs said they were one of the best matches possible. So, we shall see.
When using astrology matching to guide you in your relationship it's important to keep in mind that you're not looking for a person identical to you in character and personality, but someone that can complement your life with their own attributes. In fact, two people with the same sign are not considered a good match since doubling up on too many things can actually cause problems.
So what should you do if you found that you and your partner were not a good match according to your star signs? Should you break the relationship? The answer depends on how well you are currently getting along. If all is well, why break it? There is no hard and fast rule when it comes to astrology matching. So the best advice is to just use it as a guide and the most important thing is to follow your heart and use your good judgment.
